On the site of the railway sheds that housed the Royal Locomotive and also a cycle racing track, which are both featured in the figures. The sculptures face each other from either side of a footbridge across the canal.
The stainless figure is made from a representation of the race track, with cyclists through the ages, racing along an outreaching arm. The corten figure is made from ‘ railway track’ along which a bronze steam train passes.
